A survey was conducted of 18 individuals about their household energy usage. The majority had electricity (72.2%) and natural gas (16.7%) for heating. Most homes had insulated walls (76.5%). When adjusting the thermostat in winter, 47.1% said yes and 35.3% said sometimes. Only 17.6% of parents always check energy labels when buying appliances. Regarding electronics, 61.1% turn their computer off when not in use, while 38.9% leave devices like TVs on standby. Renewable energy sources included wind generators (14.3%), wood fuel boilers (14.3%), and ground source heat pumps (71.4%).
